Lots of Sun - Saturday

I finnished the WoA results at about 0700 and then tried to sleep for a while. I napped and got up at about 1200, had lunch and then tried more napping. When that failed I talked to people on MSN and did some basica graphical stuff. In the afternoon I walked to Jo's house to return the books I was lent, sadly there was nobody in so I had a nice hour and a bit walk in the scorching sun, with a bit of luck I'll develop a good looking tan, apparently bright white isn't fasionable. In the evening there was a joint birthday meal for Lorna and Siän. After the meal we all went to the beach and sat around talking. I've not felt very tired today except when in strong sunlight (but that's just the geek in me), it's tomorrow I'm wondering about.

Early Early Early - Friday

I got up at ummm, well, whenever I got up, it was later than usual. I messed with my Forum a little more and did some revision for the upcomming exam. When it came to the exam, well, I was in for a surprise. The exam had little to nothing to do with what we had been taught in class! Suffice to say most of us were not overly happy, a feeling no doubt exaggreated by the fact that we were all done by the half hour mark and had to sit down in a hot, stuffy room for another half hour until the exam was over. After the exam I did more modding of my Forum, this time more PHP than HTML, I'm getting to the stage where I could actually write my own mods soon! I had a nap and then got up at about 2200 to start on the WoA results. The plan is that I will be free Saturday afternoons by moving the WoA results about 12 hours sooner.

Computer Programming Exam - Thursday

I got up, went to the Exam, went through it really slowly to make sure I got as many marks as possible, left it and got on the bus back to Langstone. I spent the rest of the day playing with my forum and PHP in general. I've got an exam on it on Wednessday so this counts as revision to an extent. Funniest thing today was when Gareth MSN'd me asking for Brierly's extension number, I quick as a flash gave him mine and tried to immitate Brierly's voice. It took him a few seconds to realise and then hang up. I laughed quite a lot. I also spent a lot of time this evening just relaxing and chatting to people over MSN.

Lie In - Wednessday

I lay in until about 1030, this was bad as I missed the fry-up brakfast in the langstone refectory. In hindsight, that's probably a good thing. I revised a little, WoAed and sort of revised for another exam a bit later (it involved writing PHP and that's what the exam is about). I also did some more reading. In the afternoon I did more PHP and then hall-group. Tonight was about Chapter 4 of James, however as the speaker on Monday had been so good there wasn't an awful lot to discuss as we all understood it quite well. Lorna kept on mentioning me and getting a Lady, I'm not sure why but presumably there's a reason for it. I'm feeling confident for the Exam tomorrow, not stupidly confident (I've got to pass it still, preferably with a good mark) but confident nonetheless.

B122 Exam - Tuesday

I had set my alarm to play quiet music at 0600 as usual, then to play louder music at 0630 and then if that failed, BuzzerX (I garuntee that at max volume I will wake up) at 0730. I planned to catch the 0800 bus for my 0900 exam (just incase the 0830 was late). I awoke and there was no music on, it was also rather bright outside. I looked at my watch and it said 0555. I was horrified, not only had the computer not put the music on, my watch had stopped working! It turns out that my watch hadn't stopped working, how it was so bright so early I've no idea, I could have read books by that light (even with the curtains closed). The exam itself wasn't as bad as I feared yet I'm under no delusions that I excelled it. After the exam I played a little Halo with Huw (he had an exam finnish the same time and it was nice to relax with him) then went back to Langstone. Dinner, WoA and then reading. I spent all evening reading and also napping. I'm very tired and plan to have a bit of a lie in tomorrow as I've not got an exam till Thursday.

Title? - Monday

I fell asleep at about 0300 due to the heat in my room, it was stifling. At the time of writing it's mild and I've got the window open at 2300, I'm not sure how it's so warm in the room and not outside. In the morning I revised, WoAed and also had a chat about Christianity to Lorna. In the afternoon I went over to Huw's for the podcast and a little Halo. CU tonight was covering James Chapter 4. For those not in the know, Christianity is about having a relationship with Jesus. As with all relationships it needs to grow, recently that's been something on my mind. James Chapter 4 is about what the problem is, why it's a problem and how to fix it (that's roughly how the speaker put it). I felt it very appropriate and dwelled on it while walking home. Exam Timetable My remaining Exam timetable goes like this Tues 30th (tomorrow) - 0900 Exam - Digital Electronics (not the easiest exam, would have likes it to be a bit later) Thurs 1st - 0900 Exam - C Programming (Not overly taxing, got a good mark in CWork) Fri 2nd - 1615 Exam - Electronic Design (Not overly taxing, passed already on coursework) Wed 7th - 1115 Exam - Web Design (Really easy)

Grass - Sunday

The morning service was very good. It was about how Jesus is not just a patchup, he's a whole new way of life. Johnathan took the parable of the wineskin and put it in modern-day terms (he's very good at it) to make it easier to understand. After Church, we went over to the LT house. There we had doritoes, drinks and lots of laughs. For some reason Brierley has an accute knowledge of what's in my wardrobe (or thinks she does). If I cared then I might be worried. After lunch we went onto the common where we played catch with various thrown impliments. For some reason everybody kept on trying to pile on top of me, after the first time (I got lucky and sprinted) I kept my eye open and only at the end of the playing did they get me, even then they didn't manage it (go torso muscles). I had a grass fight with Sarah, Jo and Siän. Brierley wisely didn't join in. It was them against me, owing to greater speed and ability to know that wind blows grass, I thrashed them. The evening service was about how God is immeasurably large and nothing is beyond him. After the service I went over to Jo's to fix her internet connection (again), it took me a good 2 minutes and then I walked back. Tomorrow is a bank holiday so I'll not be going to the Prayer Meeting as Lorna doesn't want to walk and there are no busses.
