Working out a bed-time

if (earlyMorning == true) {       goToBed(0000);       getUp(0600); } else {       goToBed(0200);       getUp(1200); } It all makes sense when you think about it :D

New Shoes

I got up, did some WoA stuff and then some Citizen stuff. In all my cunningness I often ask the players of WoA things, this week I asked them What would you want to see in a game?. Some of the feedback has been good and I plan to incorporate it into Citizen. Of the people I've asked, the layout for Citizen has so far been nice, though IE refuses to display the images correctly, I'm sure this'll work in my favour as I don't want a vast number of players (at least not at first). After some of that stuff I was taken to get some replacement trainers as my old ones were falling apart. My new ones a much nicer and I like them a lot. Over the last few days I've had a cold, it's been very annoying. My Dad has been wanting to go for a Bike Ride with me this Easter and so I went but not only am I very unfit but my cold didn't help at all. As such my Dad easily out-paced me. One the Citizen site I'm using rollovers, below is the HTML code required for a rollover.

<div align="center">     <a href="http://c.woarl.com/forum/index.php"     onmouseover="document.buttonBoard.src='../../images/logos/boardOver.png'"     onmouseout="document.buttonBoard.src='../../images/logos/board.png'"> <img style="MARGIN: 10px 10px 10px 10px; WIDTH: 107px; HEIGHT: 107px;"     src="../../images/logos/board.png" width="107" height="107" border="0"     alt="Board Link" name="buttonBoard"></a> <br /> Citizen Web Board</div>
One Rollover link is one of those blocks, clearly this is not a fair system, it involves a lot of typing for me. With some smart use of PHP (it makes the computer think before making the web-page) I can write the following to achieve a similar effect.
<?php     addButton('main','index'); ?>
As you can see, it pays to be lazy :)

Creating Arl

Citizen of Arl, yes, I have decided that will be the name (Coel did help come up with it, so thanks). I spent most of the day playing Warcraft 3 and working on the site. If you have a quick look at the WoA page layout, right, the key differences are going to be that instead of those buttons on the left, I'm going to have pretty pictures on the left and some buttons at the top of each page. The game involves each player being thrown into a situation, the situation is told from three different perspectives so the players will need to use their intellect (or failing that, someone else's intellect) to figure out who they should help. I'll have a link to it once the site is ready. I'm limiting the number of people allowed to play to start with (and probably later too) so it'll not impinge on my time constraints for other things. Sadly I have a cold, I wanted to go and help at Church tomorrow, moving rocks around a bit and suchlike but sadly I think my cold will stop me :(

Sleepy Face

I got up, washed (I found that to be a really good idea, people start to complain when I don't) and then played Warcraft 3. Later that day I played two games with both Coel and Brecon on my team. Coel and I have played together before so were very good, Brecon however has not played with us, indeed, he's not played the map we were playing very much at all and I fully expected him to be a complete liability to the team. I'm happy to say that Brecon did very well and we completely and utterly trounced the opposition. It was really fun to play with the two of them. I later had a think about where WoA is and where it's going. Recently several of the longer-playing players have have left due to time constraints, thinking about it, it does require a lot of time to play World of Arl. Back "in the day" as it were, World of Arl went through several versions, one of which was a Role Playing Game (where you have a single character rather than an entire nation) and I've been wanting to run one for a while. No, I'm not an idiot, it's not going to take up vast swathes of my time, the plan is that it involves little in the way of numbers and is primarily a story-driven thing. Heck, if it's really popular and more people start to leave World of Arl, I might just move everything to the story driven thing! The food at home is notably better than the food at Portsmouth, though I appear to have come down with a slight cold, I blame it on the onions I think my Mum and Dad are sneaking into my food!

Two days

I forgot to blog Sunday, so I'm going to cover that today along with Monday. Sunday involved me getting up and going to church. The sermon was about the time when a Lady caught in the act of adultary was brought before Jesus. The whole sermon focused on that in great detail and I learnt a lot from it, it was really good. I got home and played Warcraft 3 for most of the day, I also made most of a Personality quiz thing, it's more work than I thought but not too hard. Today was pretty much a lot of Warcraft 3. Yeah.
