Future Student - Saturday

Got up and read some of A game of thrones books 3:2. Did WoA results all day. Spent the evening chatting to a Lady who is the year below me and posted on the UPCU forum. Other than making people laugh a lot (okay, person) my only acomplishment for the day was that I got two meals, though I did pay for both of them so it's not really an acomplishment.

Math Test - Friday

I got up, went to the Math test and got more than 3 marks (I think I got 6 or 7 but no doubt I got less than that). After the math test I got the bus back and played EV Nova a while. I spent the rest of the day playing that, doing some work and lots of WoA stuff. I'm tired and haven't talked to a lot of people today so it's been a little boring.

Variety
Variety isn't the spice of life, people are. Notice how the blog is longer and (hopefully) more interesting when I mention people?

Good Day - Thursday

I got up at the early early time of after 0900 but before 0930. I got washed, dressed and walked down to the refectory for breakfast. I felt great, I felt like I had done everything correctly and that I had yet to make a mistake. Then I realised my t-shirt was on back-to-front. It was a minor setback and I spent time revising and time playing EV Nova (I'm running low on games to play). I went in for a Math lecture and there was no computing lab as they're now finnished. At dinner I sat with a group of new people (as in, I knew one of them and using my awesome powers of stupidity, started chatting to them in the queue). Specifically, one is a Lady. Specifically She is in the Role Playing club, specifically She really likes the sound of WoA and has a link for it. Wow, maybe we'll actually get a Lady playing the game! Christianity Explored (CE) consisted of myself and Sam. As such we went back to Sam's house which is much nicer than the room in Uni and spent time looking at cool sound stuff he's got. The actual CE stuff was much shorter than usual as it was the last one. I got the bus back, WoA'd stuff, revised and went to bed.

Do well
I need three marks for my Math test tomorrow. It's at 0930 GMT so if you're praying before that I'd appriciate it as I've got one refferal and a second isn't good. In retrospect I should have asked sooner.

Boring Day - Wednessday Got up, went to lectures, came back to Langstone from lectures. Did WoA stuff, read, played games, had dinner, more WoA then Hall Group. Hall Group was quite good, sadly it appears that Lorna isn't going to be staying around after the exams and I'm not keen on sitting in a house on my own (if it's someone elses anyway) for a few days, that combined with the massive hassle of getting another train etc etc and I'm thinking that I may not go to the wedding. After hallgroup I played more games, WoA'd stuff and then went to bed.

Need a title - Tuesday

I got in for my excellent 0900 lecture on Maths. I've not a lot of a clue about what to do in the test which will mean that my recently vacated Thursday this week will include lots of revision. After maths I did WoA stuff then went to a computing lecture. It was all about the upcomming exam. After computing I went to tesco and spent just over half of what I'd spend at Gregg's on lunch, yet got four times as many sausage rolls (though they are slightly smaller and not hot) and also about 3-4 times as much fizzy drink. I did not however get any donuts. After lunch I sat through the lecture about Mircocrontroller C and then played Worms against Adam. We had lots of fun. I got the bus back to Langstone, spent the time up until dinner updating my forum, had dinner, finnished updating the forum, did more WoA stuff, played EV Nova, more WoA stuff then bed.

Hacked Forums
Recently several of my friends (online ones) have had their forums hacked. I'm wondering if anybody knows of sites dedicated to hacking forums so that I can find out how it's done and defend against it incase they decide that I'm a nice target. Currently I'm backing up reguarly and using smart password systems.

Mystery Guest - Monday

I got up rather early to go to a prayer meeting at 0830, then went back to langstone. I slept a bit and then did some WoA stuff. After that I went into Uni, went to the lecture and then went over to Huw's to do the Podcast. This week on the podcast we had a "special" guest. She agreed to come on the podcast on the terms that we'd each buy her a drink, fair price to pay methinks. The confusion of the people that have already heard it was excellent. After the Podcast I played Halo 2 with Huw and then we went and bought a very very expensive dinner. We each had 4 sausage rolls, a litre of Fizzy Peach Water and 5 donuts. It cost each of us about 90p. CU tonight was a little empty and as usual we went down the pub afterwards. I played two games of chess against Greg, he's very good at chess and both games were very very challanging. After that I walked Jo home and then walked the rest of the way back myself (and beat the bus). There I did more WoA stuff and then went to bed.

Lady + Podcast
If you're interested in find out if we really really did get a lady onto the podcast, well, it's hosted at here. If you download it (16 meg) and fastforwards to about 14.20 minutes.

The Weekend - Saturday & Sunday

Saturday involved getting up later than planned, looking at WoA quickly, getting my stuff and getting into a car. Once we got to the CYE (Christian Youth Esomethingorother) center we had lunch and then got kitted up in wetsuit, bouyancy aid and also overalls. In the sun we felt very very hot. Getting onto the water it got more "normal". We were sailing two types of boat, a 1 or 2 man boat called a Pico and also a 3 man boat called a wayfarer (or something like that). I was in a Pico with Graham. Stage 1 was to sail to a bouy and turn around. Seeing as all the other Pico's had only one person in them we figured it'd not be too hard. We capsised. To get the boat "upright" again you have to put a lot of weight (i.e. all of me or most of Graham) onto the "dagger board" which is something like a large breadboard sticking out of the bottom of the boat. When trying to de-capsise it the Dagger Board is about half a meter out of the water. I weigh a chunky 60Kg and so pull-ups are not overly hard for me. Graham is not push-over when it comes to body strength either. It took us a long time to get one of us onto the dagger board to pull it over, it's amazing how well cold water saps your strength. Not long after getting back in, yep, you guessed right, we went over again. Experiance didn't allow us to de-capsise it much faster. After that all the boats were towed to a different (sheleted) area where it was easier to not capsise. I paired up with a guy called Tom and Lawrence announced that he was going to be playing Pirates (capsise everybody else). It took him a long long time to get us, when he did we both simply jumped onto his boat and all three of us ended up in the water. After that I just stood at the front of a boat, got the "driver" to go near someone else and I'd promptly jump across and then pull on the mast so it capsised. The funniest part was when I "missed" and managed to end up in the water with nobody else next to me, drat. After all the sailing we went to Lawrence's Parent's house. There was played Halo 2 late into the night, specifically the morning. I fell asleep on a Campbed at about 0300. Sunday morning and I was awoken at roughly 0730 and my throat was terrible. I'm guessing that my cold (which was getting a lot better) was made somewhat worse by the cold water I spent a fair bit of time in (no body fat, I can show my ribs with ease). Myself, Graham and Tom went back midday and I spent most of the rest of the day playing on the computer, reading (specifically A Storm of Swords and also Luke) and also resting.

Falling Asleep
I have trouble falling asleep each night. Only when I am well and truely knackered (such as Saturday) will I fall asleep in under a half hour, sometimes it takes over an hour to fall asleep and it's most annoying. Anything you can suggest to help me fall asleep?
